A Cheerful, Cali-Inspired Wedding Design

01. DESIGN BRIEF

It was such a joy to create this collection of wedding design visuals for Alexa from Alexa Kay Events so she could present her vision to her couple for their wedding at The Olana in Texas.

The design concept was to reflect the states that the couple were from, so inspiration was pulled from Brooke’s home state, California and the venue reflected Eric’s Dallas roots. The various location-inspired elements of the design would create a one-of-a-kind experience for the couple and their guests.

Alexa wanted to have renderings for her couple because:

“This client was a luxury client for me so [having renderings] was another piece of the experience I was able to elevate for them.”

The ceremony design concept focused on a crisp white aisle flanked with organic seasonal greenery and blooms leading up to a stage with a floral feature of premium peach, yellow and cream blossoms.

The guests would then be presented with a unique escort display located in the grand entrance of the venue, inspired by a baby mobile with the guests’ names printed on blocks in muted colours.

For the evening reception, we focussed on adding lounges of soft, comfortable seating creating a pink cocktail hour space with gold and glass accents.⁠

After presenting the design renders to her client Alexa said:

“My clients loved it because they got an idea of what to expect for their investment” and

“They were able to confidently make decisions and it instilled their trust and confidence in me that I could execute their vision.”

Another added benefit to having such a comprehensive collection of design renders was that Alexa was able to communicate her vision for the wedding day with all of the vendors involved to ensure:

“We had a lot of moving parts on the wedding day and this gave me the ability to show vendors what I was wanting things to look like so everyone was on the same page.”
