A CLASSIC GARDEN CELEBRATION | 3D WEDDING RENDERING
DESIGN BRIEF
This 3D rendered reception design for Kelsey Timberlake was so much fun to create. I was so honoured to contribute as part of the artistic team for Megan and Trevor’s special day at Oakwood Gardens in Oregon.The design board was inspired by clean, classic colours and bright spring florals. A colour story replete with pale pinks and whites and accentuated with lush greenery and blue undertones, this was the perfect palette for a classic garden celebration.Once I’d received the inspiration images and worked through the design plan with Kelsey Timberlake, I moved on to create the reception design. For this tented event at Oakwood Gardens — a quaint alpaca farm, if you can believe it! — wicker-backed chairs and tan linens were chosen for the tables, with white runners to accent the arrangement. Then, I hand-rendered small, blush-coloured bouquets between every four place settings, so there would be no shortage of that flowery perfume during dinner.In an effort to combine form with function, wood-panelled bars were wrapped around the two centre tent poles, transforming the necessary structure into the centre of the celebration — guests can snag a glass of prosecco or two on all sides! The reception designs were brought to life on the big day to create a dreamy fairytale event. By updating the infrastructure of the tent, the reception design was able to take a necessary rental and turn it into a custom decoration that directly enhanced the ambience of the party.
