DRAMATIC DESIGNER RECEPTION | A 3D WEDDING DESIGN

DESIGN BRIEF

I was so excited to connect with Drake Social in Atlanta, Georgia to create this dramatic, designer visualisation — from crystal candelabras to white and blush-coloured runners, this wedding design is perfect for any elegant couple looking to elevate their event.

In keeping with the timeless gold, white, and blush colour scheme of the design brief, Drake Social selected for the wedding party estate two gold Cartier tables to be positioned at the top of the room, surrounded by tall, crystal candelabras and gold, mercury votives. 

To best utilise the space, we then grouped the guests’ dinner tables in pods around the large ballroom, with the idea of bringing in eye-catching and dramatic white cherry blossom trees to hide the venue’s built-in chandeliers. Not to mention you can never go wrong with a bit of extra height! You’d be surprised what a bit of creative wedding design can think up ahead of time! To make added use of the trees, Drake Social wanted to place curved, white velvet sofas adorned with blush pillows around the base of each, so guests had a cosy spot to mingle and rest after dinner. 

Of course, no wedding or wedding design is complete without including a place to let loose at the end of the night — and to keep this reception as high-end and memorable as the couple desired, our client dreamt up a custom floral wrap for the dance floor. What guest doesn’t love to twist and turn with a bit of extra class? While our wedding design rendering suggested a pink and white dance floor, the clients ultimately opted instead for a timeless black-and-white combination.

The resulting reception turned out just as good, if not better than we imagined. The white cherry blossom trees covered the room in a warm, magical glow; the blush floral arrangements were styled perfectly around every place setting; and the Cartier tables radiated elegance, especially when contrasted against the luxurious black chairs.

This was certainly a wedding design we will never forget!
